This is one of the best in the series. It is packed full of intrigue, danger, betrayals, revenge and retaliation. Alfonzo has to deal with it all. It's difficult when family members become betrayers. Still, they must be dealt with as enemies.How does Amelda deal with Matteo's cheating and betrayals? Is she furious because he cheated on her or because he's implicated in her father's death? Shockingly, like Alfonzo, she handles things herself. She's cold blooded. Are Sophia and Yosef guilty? Or does Sophia think Yosef is guilty of harming her family? If so, how does she handle him? If Geo believes both of them to be guilty, does he allow retribution for Yosef as well as his mother? Why would Teresa betray Alfonzo through Selange? Is Bruno a part of the attacks on the Giaccantis? If so, what does Maria do?
We know that Anna is pregnant by Darren. How does Ari and Nico deal with it? Does Ari find out that Bianca is pregnant by Nico? Well what can I say another Alfonzo masterpiece completed.
So much drama, too much drama. Somebody put a hit out on the Giancanti family, the most powerful of the families all because of a marriage of Sophie to one considered an enemy to all the families and a threat to all of their legacies. Once realized, it was no turning back. No one messes with the Giancanti's and lives to tell about it. Happy to see Geo find love again. As with every book in this series, you learn so much about history not taught in school and Armored was no exception. But what I have come to realize in this series that the women are much more ruthless than the men. Great read.
This review require that u write at least 20 wrds. I shld write buy buy buy. So glad geo finds love again. Nico still keeping mess up. Hated that Sergio was only on 8 pages on the book.. Allie still needs a ass whooping! Lol
Selange proves to b a down chic for her man again! Love her. Poor Amelda! I cried, covered my mouth n laughed out loud. There r times whn u think I want to b a mob wife! Lol

Sad that next one will b the final one.. Read this in one day!!!! If you have followed u must read, if u looking at the cover n thinking u want to read it, do!!!! But start with 1st. So worth it!
Wow - this still remains my number one IRR with an organized crime theme. Surprises at every turn yet this author delivers the goods. Glad to se Sophie survive (was having my doubts about her loyalty); Glad that Nico and Ari are still hanging on; Happy that Geo has met his match (love seeing him drop his shield when little Carlo was being threatened); Stunned by Matteo's duplicity and shocked by Amelda's action. Alfonzo still remains my dream alpha male - family means the world to him and I love it. Sorry to hear the series will end with the next book but anticipate it will be an enjoyable ride. My hope is that this series becomes a mini series on cable or the Internet. Congrats to this author for consistently delivering a story that keeps me entertained (such that I can ignore the minor editing errors).
"Armored" by S.W.Frank, flowed like fine wine, and I savored every morsel of this novel, which was steeped in history, humor, current events, suspense, redemption, and love.
As only S.W.Frank could, she casted her net across the pages and pulled the reader into her grid, where lessons were taught and battles were fought.
Volume XIV of the "Alfonzo" series is a must read; this saga continued the journey of the Giacanti's clan. Here hearts were softened, betrayal abounded, scores were settled and to you Sergio, it was wonderful to see that Giacanti blood running through your veins..."Fist to heart kid!" And a reader was left with a sense of pure fulfillment!
S.W.Frank, 14 installments and you continue to create "buzz," which is a true testament to your writing acumen. For the oratory skills of one Martin Scheppe are what movies are made of, to see his performance come alive on a screen would be a joy; this novel is most definitely worthy of being an HBO Series because it has all the makings to be a hit.

It hurts when traitors are family, but Al doesn't send anyone to deal with family. He takes care of it himself and so does the other family members like his cousin Amelda. Greed and jealousy can be the undoing of a person as seen with Mateo and Teresa who paid for their deceit. I was taken by surprise by Mateo's underhandedness and equally surprised how Amelda handled her deceitful husband. I like how S.W. Frank reached back in a previous book of Teresa's interaction with Alfonzo a long time ago. I had forgotten about that until they end of this book. Alfonzo has a long memory and really won't stand for anyone harming the love of his life, Selange.
Nico is lucky to have a wife like Ari. She continues to be the force that brings light into Nico's life. He has come to an epiphany that he will do all he can to love and protect his wife and family. He's trying to turn over a new leaf in life to be the husband that Ari deserves as she grapples with becoming a grandmother and deal with Bianca's pregnancy.
Tiffany and Tony are at an impasse as Tiffany is jut trying to understand the type work Tony does for the don. All while they are working on their long time relationship, I can't believe that her sister Nicole and Geo got married. My heart was bleeding for the big bully who wants the love of a good woman and mother for Carlo so bad. Sophie finally got her wish for her son to settle down.
This was a wonderfully written book with twist and turns and surprises throughout that kept my attention from the beginning to end.
